SPEARFISHING EDUCATION
Participation rights, in Level 2 Spearfishing School, have all adults or minors of 16 years with parent consent having at least a successful Education Level I at any Freediving education systems.

Practical (open water) 10 hours:

Arm and disarm of big guns

Duck dive with a gun (two ways)

Swimming carrying a gun (surface & bottom)

Underwater shooting, spearos skills when dealing with high range guns

Spearfishing technics (searching, ambush & planning, Aguato, cave ambush)

Pair safety at surface and at depth

Communication code at surface

Dive technics in pair – surface push technic / elevator technic

First meet with variable weight companion with gun

Full rescue scenario underwater hunter

Basic skills in the use of nautical instruments (depthmeter/gps)

Specialized knowledge of preparation, towing, anchoring and navigating a boat.
School duration: Theory: 13 education hours (class)
Practical: 10 education hours (in 3 or 4 open water sessions)
Videos analysis: 2 education hours (class)
Exams (test): 2 education hours (class)
Certification exams: A candidate is certified after successfully maintain to score, on Theory & Practical exams, over 80%. With 70% to 79% score he may be reviewed from a different Instructor, after one week period. In lower score must repeat the course.
Instructor’s ratio per candidates:
Theory education: One (1) PSA Instructor per 12 candidates
Practical education: One (1) PSA Instructor per 4 candidates
Practical education: One (1) PSA Instructor + one (1) assistant per 6 candidates

Max depth in practical sessions 14m

At least three (3) safety buoys in the training zone or two (2) in the presence of a boat, companion with a diving flag.

First aid pharmacy (tested)

Pure O2 oxygen cylinder

At least one bottle of drinking water per candidate

One functional and one non-functional rubber gun (pneumatic gun if required by candidates) per Instructor. The ratio doesn’t change in the presence of an assistant but only in the presence of second Instructor

Weather conditions at training zone in practical up to 2 bf or in an absolute protected area 4 bf

In the same day Two open water sessions may occurred with a 3 hours break in between.
The entire above are performed under the supervision of a PSA Instructor, which has the full responsibility of the integration and certification of the school.
